The Entrepreneurs Club – Episode 1
“If you plan to start a business, Go and Do It; it’s never too late” – Vijaya Karri
Ok, it’s finally here! The web series I promised you about entrepreneurship is finally here. There is absolutely no substitute for experience. Some learn quite well from their own experiences, while others learn from the experiences of others. There is no shame in asking questions or learning from others, this is actually quite wise. On the other hand, some people are against the notion of asking questions or learning from others; perhaps they believe they know it all. The truth is you can’t know it all and the only way to forge ahead in anything you do is to simply draw on the experience of others. Regardless of your level of education or exposure, you simply cannot know it all. And if that is the case, why not learn from those who have done it before you?
This applies to business too, in order to create a thriving business, it is essential to gain wisdom from other business owners who have immense knowledge in either your area of business or entrepreneurship as a whole. It is with this in mind that I created this web series – The Entrepreneurs Club [what they have to say]
The aim of the show is quite simple; I identify and visit successful business owners (by successful, I mean business owners who have sustained their businesses for over 5 years) and interview them, asking them business related but relevant questions about their business journeys. I have had the opportunity to visit quite a few entrepreneurs since the series started and have learnt a lot on my journey. Most of all, I believe you will learn a thing or two as well.
Today’s video feature a highly successful Essex-based entrepreneur – Vijaya Karri. With over 20 years of business experience under her belt, Mrs Karri evolved from a corner shop owner to one of the most influential figures in the Colchester Essex area; in her empire are 2 hotels, a restaurant, estate agency, laundromat and several properties in the area.
In the video (which is the first of 2 parts) she gives advice about: Funding, Challenges, Competition, Multi tasking and many more topics relevant to modern-day entrepreneurship. She’s got a thing or 2 to say about business. You don’t want to miss this interview.
Watch the video to learn more about the thinking of a successful entrepreneur.
