In what appears to be a trivia session, GPS, a CNN programme hosted by Fareed Zakaria mocked the long absence of President Muhammadu Buhari. The programme which is one of the channel’s flagship ones posed the trivia to viewers of the show in its ‘GPS challenge.’
The trivia question was: “The head of state from which country has not set foot in his homeland in over two months?” and had these multiple options: Syria, Saudi Arabia, Cuba and Nigeria.
President Buhari has been out of the country for 84 days for medical treatment in London, and his absence has continued to dominate news headlines locally and around the world. Visits to him in London by various governors and government officials was widely reported. Acting President Yemi Osinbajo also visited Buhari in London and announced that he will return home shortly.
